It’s the story 

Of the little Lori

Who grew up on an island in the Caribbean Sea

She loved her family

Especially her mummy and her grannies

Lori and her sister Ruthie

Best friends and worse enemies 

Lori loved to read

Ruthie loved to play outside

Lori loved to dress up

Ruthie was a tomboy

And then came Robin, their little brother

The cherub angel

Who stole their mother’s heart

A brave adventurous mother 

Moved her 3 children to France 

With the support of Granny & Papa

Took them from their magical Caribbean island

To the French Riviera

Island girls, Lori and Ruthie 

Now, weekly boarders at Blanche de Castille, Nice

A very different catholic school

Where Pere Roque taught them to dance Rock n Roll

And the English teacher played Simon and Garfunkel in class

Lori and best friend Vero were inseparable 

Always up to some mischief but topping their grades

And then came a shift, a move…. 

The school closed its doors, Vero moved to Paris 

Lori & Ruth with their wheels

Ruth had a motorbike, Lori a scooter 

Soaring on the spirit of freedom

The Riviera their playground

From the seaside to the snow slopes

1980 Lori goes to Paris to study Chinese

Mama bear, Annette, sets her up in style

Apartment in the 16th walking distance from the Uni 

Boyfriend Olivier studying architecture 

Then arrive les Niçois coming back from India

Lori catches the travel bug

Leaves the boyfriend and heads off to discover

India

Indelible mark, moment of reckoning 

Summer of 1981

No stopping Lori now

She is a traveler at heart 

Meets boyfriend nr. 2 in the holy city of Puskhar, Rajasthan

Dan the Man with the Van

From the Himalayan mountains to Taiwan, 

Philippines, Hong Kong, Trinidad 

Appartement sold

No fixed abode

Dan too controlling for Lori’s free spirit 

She leaves and heads to Shanghai

To immerse in China

China in the 1980s

Closed to tourism

Lori is now a home maker and a businesswoman

Lori can now refocus on her grace

With her husband Selwyn at her side

Taking on a new role as a leader in the game

She is ready to take Caribbean culture to its fame
